AUGUST 2012 NEWSLETTER

The first two weeks of school came and went!  It's been good to get back to a routine and meet old and new friends at school.  Our classes are doing well acclimating and normalizing into the Montessori routine.  For those not familiar with Montessori, it is common (and normal and ideal!) to find a class full of kids to be happily and QUIETLY working.  Such has been the observations of new children, parents, and supplemental class teachers seeing both classes in session.

Maria Montessori once said: “The greatest sign of success for a teacher... is to be able to say, ” "The children are now working as if I did not exist."  That is when we know a class is normalized and fully acclimated to the Montessori method.  We are working towards that!

We want to welcome Miss Annedria, our W/F Assistant, Miss Carrie, our Montessori Mozarts teacher, and Miss Kelli, our special art projects teacher.  Please feel free to download your child's photos by right-clicking on the picture, "view in another tab", then saving it from that new tab.

We also celebrated Travin's 5th birthday on the first day of school!  Happy Birthday Travin!
