Individual Work:
Roc: playdough, knobbed cylinders (red series), how to watch a presentation, how to observe someone who is working
Kade: Christmas tree decorating, transfer colored water using a dropper, silence game, sound boxes, sandpaper letters m, s, a, knobbed cylinders (blue series), inset design - circle.
Jace: Nativity scene, sandpaper letters d,h,e,l,q.
Collin: spelling pink series words with movable alphabet, Christmas tree decorating, sorting beans and rice using a strainer.
Since Christmas is just around the corner, we have new work on our "Art Table". I have the Nativity Scene - playmobil variety, which they get to assemble themselves; and also Christmas tree decorating - which they get to do when they want.
Christmas Tree Decorating:
Setup: Tray containing tree topper, a box of ornaments, garland, tree skirt (this was missing today, but will be there next week - I forgot!), small tree
Instructions in a Nutshell:
Take tree to table or mat. Take the tray to table/mat. Fluff tree branches. Decorate. Admire your work. Take ornaments off and put back in box. Fold tree skirt and place back in tray. Carry tray back to the art table. Carry tree back to the art table. Put mat away.
I will take photos of the work next class.
