Ordering the alphabetTheme: Caterpillars and Butterflies
- We read "Caterpillars and Butterflies" (Usborne Beginner Series), also discussed the metamorphosis of a butterfly using concrete models that the kids got to hold and feel.
New work on shelf: butterfly life cycle : - tray set up with felt mat, number cards 1-5, and 5 models of the different stages (well, minus the egg): caterpillar, pupa/chrysalis, young adult just out of the chrysalis, adult butterfly. Work instructions same as the frog life cycle (see previous post).
Enrichment book: A Very Hungry Caterpillar
