Europe

It's back to school after Spring Break! This week we studied Europe. We read two stories originating from Italy (Buried Treasure, Usborne Stories from Around the World) and the Netherlands (Little Fish, Kane Miller Books). The boys also got to see and handle little wooden shoes (our cultural item from Europe). They also got to learn about Georges Seurat and how he painted with dots (Pointillism). We did our own Pointillist artwork using qtips and primary colored paint.
Color-mixing (Kade worked on this for a long time, turning out colors like blue-violet, accurately, he just didn't name it that) Reading pink words

Pointillist art
Roc's favorite is color-mixing this week
More pointillist art work
Collin is big into drawing, coloring, then cutting them out

Our new sound boxes

Pouring (this one's a little tricky, but Keenan likes the challenge)
Flags of the world work (they are doing 10 flags)

Love the pictures!

Keenan loves your preschool! I can't believe how quickly he is learning--I am a Montessori
believer!

Thank you for all that you do. You are a great teacher!
