Stories Read: 8/17: There's a Mouse About the House
8/19: the boys decided to skip the story in favor of more work time - they wanted to know how to use the knobless cylinders (which they hardly were interested in last year!). I presented the lesson and they all worked on the material for a good 15 or 20 minutes!
The boys are starting to fall into a schedule similar to the girls. Today they worked for over a solid hour before we did our circle time. At circle time, we got out our objects for show and tell. Thanks for bringing items that begin with the letter M. We recited phonograms 1-26 also. Luke asked why we couldn't do all 61 (we didn't have time). This week is also our LINE DESIGN week in art. Today we did straight line design. On Wednesday, they will do meandering line design. Lots of language instruction today as well. Kade and Luke did object boxes - they are getting pretty good. Roc reviewed 3 sandpaper letters and Cole did math - number rods. I will post pictures soon.
