Week 11 -Thursday

Island/Lake land forms work (note: I recommend working on the table, but we did the work on the floor since we lacked table space)North America tracing/coloring: he is in the process of coloring the bodies of water blue and North America orange.

Theme: Land and Water Forms - Island and Lake; North America - our Home Continent
New Work on Shelf: Land/Water Animal Models, Island and Lake Land/Water Forms
Phonograms 1-34 (addition of 'th').

Book Reading: Dragons of Blueland Preface and Chapter 1
- We also read "The New Baby" for Roc, who has a new baby sister. He loved that!

Group Work: Listening Game, Sound Matching; Map work - identifying islands and lakes on map (these kids have amazing eyes I tell you!)

Some of our individual Work:
Roc - Playdough, Nuts and bolts, Island and Lake Land/Water Forms, Units Cars work
Collin - spelling with movable alphabet, transfering macaroni, World map work - Asia
Jace - Screws, Teens-3rd Period Lesson on recognizing numerals (he is ready to work on the tens board), tree puzzle
Kade (our new friend) - sorting flower beads with a huller, silence game, knobbed cylinders (red series)
Luke - natural tower grading from biggest to smallest, brown stairs grading from thickest to thinnest, m & s - third period lesson given.
