Writing numbers to 50

Writing numbers to 50

We continued the "seashore/beach" theme today with reading " A House for Hermit Crab", and also reviewed our continents. All of the boys did great identifying all of the continents on our map. Kade especially impressed by telling me the names of all 7 as I pointed to each one in random order. Today he worked a long time with the water transfer work, switching colors probably 5 times. He would give me two color concentrates to drop in his water (they know they are not allowed to mess with color concentrates) and then name the color it made. Or I would say, why don't you make orange? what colors does Miss Rinna need to make that? - and he would always come up with the right colors.

Collin and Jace continued their numbers work today - working their way up to 50! Somehow they know how to write numbers in order. They each also read me a blue level reader as part of work time.

Keenan is back too! We missed him all last week. We are glad to have him back. Keenan is working very hard on his letters, he is done with the red box, and now learning the next set of 8 letters. Great work Keenan!

We are now learning 62 phonograms, with 9 more to go.
